ED Type Silicon Carbide Rod
The equal-diameter silicon carbide rods (ED type) are substitute
products for the thick-end type silicon carbide rods. Their
advantages are as follows:
Small End Resistance:
The current is evenly distributed on the rod body, reducing the
aggregation of current at the ends, decreasing energy loss,
improving the efficiency of converting electrical energy into
thermal energy, and achieving remarkable energy-saving effects.
It also reduces the risk of overheating at the ends, thus
prolonging the service life.
Long Service Life:
High-quality silicon carbide materials are used, which have high
hardness, excellent high-temperature resistance. The melting point
can reach above 2000°C, and they can maintain good mechanical
strength and chemical stability in a high-temperature environment.
The equal-diameter structure design makes the thermal expansion and
contraction relatively uniform, reducing the cracks and damages
caused by the concentration of thermal stress.
They are commonly used in industries such as rare earth fluorescent
powder, electronics, magnetic materials, powder metallurgy, and
precision casting as heating elements for pusher furnaces, mesh
belt furnaces, trolley furnaces, and box furnaces.
